Established in 2012, AquaLife Ponds is an award-winning water feature company located in Costa Mesa, California, servicing the Orange County and Los Angeles areas. We are a master certified Aquascape contractor and hold a current California state contractors’ license. AquaLife Ponds is Southern California’s preferred pond installation, renovation, and maintenance company, passionate about building and maintaining exceptional water features to enhance every customers quality of life.
We started AquaLife Ponds with a clear purpose: to deliver an exceptional customer experience for fellow pond enthusiasts. Water features bring the beauty of nature into any setting, creating a calming focal point that transforms a property. Dave Misterly
Owner & Designer
Dave’s passion for water features began as a young boy exploring the Santa Ynez Mountains in Santa Barbara. Inspired by the beauty of nature, he has traveled the globe to experience its wonders—from the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest to the Himalayas of Nepal, the lush greens of New Zealand, and the Andes of Ecuador. Still, his greatest love remains close to home: the high-altitude Sierra Nevada range.
With a deep appreciation for ecology and biology, Dave pursued his studies at UCSC as a biology major. His fascination with clean, clear water continues today—earning him the reputation of being a true “filtration geek.” Blending technical expertise with a lifelong love of the natural world, Dave designs water features that are as functional as they are inspiring.
Alison Mack
Chief Operating Officer
Alison has always had a deep love for water, nature, and the outdoors. From swimming at just two years old to spending her childhood on lakes water-skiing, body surfing at the beach, and competing in swimming and water polo, her connection to the water has been lifelong. A true outdoor enthusiast, she also enjoys hiking and feels most at home surrounded by nature.
As proud mother of three daughters—each carrying on the family tradition of competitive swimming and water polo—Alison leads by example as both a parent and professional. Alison began
